Joanne E. Doll

GLEN ROCK Joanne E. (Fackler) Doll, 57, died Wednesday morning, June 4, 2008, at Universi ty of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, Md., following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Burnell R. Doll, with whom she celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary April 5, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2008, at the Black Rock Church of the Brethren, 3864 Glenville Road, Glenville, with Pastor David W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewings will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, and from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. Mrs. Doll was born January 16, 1951, in Hershey, a daughter of Arlene (Brandt) Fackler of Hershey and the late E. Leroy Fackler Joanne was a homemaker and assisted her husband and family on their Dairy Farm in Manheim Township. She also loved cooking and sewing, and enjoyed the outdoors. In addition to her husband, she leaves two sons, Travis R. Doll of Glen Rock and Jasin J. Doll of New Freedom; daughter, Shannon E. Doll of Glen Rock; eight grandchildren, Jenell, Jenna, McKenzie, Hannah, Sean, Megan, Emma, and Grace; three sisters, Cynthia Vieli of Shellsville, Rhelda Brown of Hershey, and Ritha Leber of Palmyra; and a brother, Eric Fackler of Hershey. She was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Fackler. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made American Liver Foundation, 111 Presidential Blvd., Suite 214, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
