Larry Allingham Obituary

Larry Allingham

Arlington, WA - Larry Allingham, formerly of Spring Grove, passed on peacefully at his home in Washington State on April 16, 2018. He was surrounded by family and friends.

He graduated from Adrian College in MI then earned his doctorate at Kansas College of Osteopathy and Surgery, then served a residency at Detroit Osteopathic Hospital. He worked as an anesthesiologist at Hanover Hospital until his retirement in 2012.

He was a complicated man. Those who knew him saw the ire that he could command in himself and others. Other times,he was insightful and caring. He was happiest when cuddling babies and his animal friends.

He is predeceased by his beloved grandson, Kole Allingham; and is survived by his wife, Carol; and children, Lowell, April, Lee, Karl, Scott, Kristian, Rebekah, and many beloved grandchildren as well.

He was honored in a celebration of life and will receive a burial at sea as per his preference.

Any well-wishers are encouraged to make a donation to his legacy to the YWCA Safe Home on Chestnut Street in Hanover.
