Mildred Klug Obituary

NEW OXFORD Mildred M. Klug, 96, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 2, 2014, at the Brethren Home Community. She was the loving wife of Wilmer L. Klug, who died June 1, 1989. Born May 3, 1917, in Baltimore, Md., Mildred was a daughter of the late Harry H. and Jennie V. (Nagle) Baker. Surviving are five children, Wilmer H. Klug and wife, Trudi of Baltimore, Warren L. Klug, Sr. of Baltimore, David W. Klug and wife, Minanne-Sue of New Oxford, Daniel T. Klug and wife, Dorcas of Hanover, and Sharon E. Henry and husband, Norman of Baltimore; two sisters, Helen Warehime of Baltimore and Carolyn Iwancio of New Oxford; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson. Mildred was preceded in death by four siblings, Clara Filling, Harry Baker, Florence Henning, and Wilson Baker. A service to celebrate the life of Mildred Klug will be held at 12 noon on Monday at Parkville Baptist Church, 3309 Taylor Ave., Baltimore, MD 21234 with the Rev. Aaron Stewart officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover. A second viewing will be held on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at Parkville Baptist Church. Burial will be in Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, Md. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Mildred Klug to Parkville Baptist Church, 3309 Taylor Ave., Baltimore, MD 21234.
