Ok Gladfelter Obituary

HANOVER Ok Cha "Jane" Gladfelter, 61, entered into God's eternal kingdom, Saturday, September 12, 2009, at Hanover Hospital. Born February 17, 1948, in Kyeong Jun, South Korea, she was the daughter of the late Kim Tuk Su and Son Ok Son. Jane was the loving wife of Donald L. Gladfelter with whom she would have been married 38 years on September 25, 2009. Jane worked as a seamstress at English American Tailoring Co. in Westminster, Md. She was a member of St. Jacob's (Stone) United Church of Christ in Glenville and enjoyed playing bingo, watching movies, and doing crafts. Besides her husband, Jane leaves behind her son, Bret A. Gladfelter and wife, Heather, of Elkton, Md.; and eight siblings, Ho Song Kim, of Kentucky, Nae Song Kim, of Chicago, Ill., Chin Hae Kim, of South Korea, Chim Young Kim, of Chicago, Ill., Young Nan Kim, of East Berlin, Chin Nan Wierzba and husband, Richard, of Madison, Wis., Kuk Chu Kim, of Atlanta, Ga. and Nan Chu Kim and husband, Karoyl, of Madison, Wis. A service to remember and celebrate Jane's life will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, at Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, with her Pastor, The Rev. Jason Leader officiating. Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover. Viewing and time to share memories will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Serving as casketbearers will be James Monath, Jr., Andrew Monath, Wayne Flickinger, Dale Fisher, Matthew Gladfelter and James Rohrbaugh. The family respectfully requests memorial contributions in honor of Jane be made to the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., Hanover.
