Raymond Staub Obituary

HANOVER Raymond F. "Bo" Staub, Jr., 59, passed away peacefully, Sunday, December 16, 2012, at Hershey Medical Center after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was the husband of 36 years to Margaret M. (Noel) Staub. Born July 30, 1953, in Hanover, he was the son of the late Raymond F. Staub Sr. and Gladys T. (Smith) Staub. Bo was employed by Hanover Architectural Products Inc. of Hanover and worked part time for many years as a bartender at the McSherrystown Knights of Columbus. He was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Bo was a 1971 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, and was a member of the McSherrystown K of C and Home Association. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons and a daughter; Timothy Staub and his wife Denice of Gettysburg, Paul Staub and his wife Priscilla of Littlestown, Benjamin Staub and his wife Thea Mae of Bloomsberg and Anna Staub of Hanover, six brothers; Michael, Robert, Daniel, Gregory and Wayne Staub all of Hanover and Jeffrey Staub of Spring Grove, two sisters; Angela Bream of New Oxford and Janet Zeigler of Hanover, five grandchildren; Noah, Alexander, Sophie, Isabela and Mia Staub. He was preceded in death by grandson Joseph James Staub. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Sacred Heart Basilica in Hanover, with Rev. Lawrence J. McNeil officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends and relatives will be received Tuesday, 3 to 8 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Ave., McSherrystown, with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be his six brothers. In Lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Bo may be made to Sacred Heart Basilica, 30 Basilica Drive, Hanover, PA 17331 or to PSU Hershey Medical Center Cancer Research, 500 University Drive, Hershey, PA 17033.
