Robert Raymond Riebling, Sr., 83, entered God's eternal care, Sunday, March 11, 2018 at home with his loving family by his side.
Born March 17, 1934, in Hanover, he was the son of the late Edna I. (Riebling) Noel. Robert was the loving husband of Nancy A. (Ake) Riebling with whom he shared 64 years of marriage.
Robert retired from Lowe's in 2007, having worked in electrical sales for over seventeen years. Robert was a veteran and served his country proudly as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean War and later in the National Guard.
He was a member of the Littlestown American Legion and a Life-Member of the Alpha Fire Company No. 1 in Littlestown.
Robert loved NASCAR and his granddog, Molly but it was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren that were the loves of his life.
In addition to his loving wife, Nancy, Robert is survived by his children, Bob Riebling, Jr. and wife, Ann (Klunk) of Littlestown,, Cheryl McMaster and husband, Steve, of Hanover, Kimberly A. Riebling of Littlestown, Laurie DeGroft and husband, Dick, Jr., of Hanover, and Nancy S. (Suzy) Riebling of Littlestown; eight grandchildren, Erin (McMaster) Hankey and husband, Jason, Rachael (DeGroft) Glorioso and husband, Mike, Emily DeGroft, Katie (McMaster) Fake and husband, Chris, Daniel DeGroft and wife, Brittany (Shafer), Jed Riebling, Jacob Riebling and Joe Riebling; and ten great-grandchildren and one to be born in September.
A service to celebrate and remember Robert will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, with the Rev. Bill Mummert officiating. Burial will be held in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 12 to 1 p.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the funeral home. Serving as Casketbearers will be Daniel R. DeGroft, Steve McMaster, Dick DeGroft, Jr., Jason Hankey, Mike Glorioso and Chris Fake.
