Robert Tavarez Obituary

Robert E. Tavarez, 78, of Abbottstown, died Monday Aug. 9, 2004, at Colonial Manor Nursing and Rehab Center, York. He was the husband of Dolores M. (Hare) Tavarez. Born June 19, 1926, in Baltimore, he was a son of the late Antone and Stella Belle (Morris) Tavarez. He was a member of Holtzschwamm Paradise Lutheran Church in Thomasville and the Hanover VFW. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was a retired Baltimore City Firefighter with Truck 22. Surviving also are two daughters, Tracie L. Kalb of Elkridge, Md., and Kathy E. Healy of Hampstead, Md.; three grandchildren; one brother, Howard M. Tavarez of Long Neck, Del.; and one sister-in-law, Mildred L. McNulty of Baltimore. The service will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Holtzschwamm Paradise Lutheran Church, Church Road, Thomasville, with his pastor, the Rev. Timothy Seitz-Brown, officiating. A viewing will be held Thursday at Feiser Funeral Home Inc., 306 Harrisburg St., East Berlin, from 7 to 9 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Druid Ridge Cemetery, 7900 Parks Heights Ave., Baltimore, on Friday at 2:30 p.m.
