Mr. and Mrs. Mehring and the rest of his family, may I offer my family's condolences on the premature passing of Scott. Growing up in Abbottstown, Scott was the older friend I always wanted to be around. I still remember his red chevelle and white camaro. He was always nice enough to let me tag along and include me with whatever baseball, basketball, or football game we were organizing in the neighborhood. He was a great friend, son, and father I am sure.

Scott was an fine man. I was a class mates and we worked together for years at Lincoln. He will be missed by all and God Bless his family and friends. I will kept you all in my prays.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to the Mehring family. We will always remember Scott for being side by side with Schrum in the scramble car races at Trail-Way. To the grandparents...as we said at the veiwing we will always be here for Josh and Jeremy. They are great young men and Scott's memory will go on through them.

OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO YOU AND THE ENTIRE FAMILY. I HAD JUST SPOKEN TO A GENTLEMAN WHO RACES AT TRAILWAYS LAST FRIDAY AND HE HAD INFORMED ME THAT SCOTT WAS NOT DOING WELL. I WAS SHOCKED TO HEAR FROM MY COUSIN THIS EVENING THAT HE HAD JUST BEEN TO THE VIEWING. I WISH THAT I COULD HAVE BEEN THERE TO PAY MY LAST RESPECTS BUT LIFE HAS BEEN SO HECTIC SINCE WE PURCHASED THE RESTAURANT. SCOTT WAS A WONDERFUL PERSON, FULL OF LIFE AND LOVE FOR HIS CHILDREN AND FAMILY. WHAT A GREAT, CARING AND COMPASSIONATE MAN. HE WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED IN THE HEARTS OF MANY. Gen Mitz, great grandma of Jeremy & Josh Mehring. Scott always blowes and waved at me when im on my porch when he would drive by. He will be sadly missed by our family. I know his sons will surely miss him. Scott has 2 wonderful parents that thought the world of him. And i want to give my condolances to Mr. & Mrs. Mehring. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.

Hearing of Scott's passing was such a shock. I had no idea he was in ill health. I meet Scott thru sports. His twin boys are in my son's class 2006. I coached with and against Scott. He was always a true gentlemen and a good sport. He never failed to put the kids he coached ahead of winning. I especially enjoy and remember our times together in the York County weekend basketball league. Scott you were a true example of what coaching young people is all about. To Scott's family from my family please except our heartfelt sympathies.

Scott was a shining example of a top notch human being. His passion for racing showed in his eyes and his compassion for friends and acquaintances was woven threw every aspect of his life. Not only will Trail-Way Speedway miss the "honorary Hostetter," but everyone else that Scott touched in the most mercurial of ways will miss him too. Fly free and enjoy the view, Scott!
