I first want to address my deepest sympathies and condolences for the Halpenny family. Tlyer, You were a coach to me for many years. You yanked me out of my shell. I know you are up there with my dad shredding on the guitar. I can only imagine the amazing sounds you are making. You are so dearly missed. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you. I know you are with me everywhere I go. I know we will be reunited again, and we are going to play songs that will resonate throughout the universe. I love you so much brother. Until we meet again my dearest friend.

Prayers and warm thoughts being sent to Tyler's family. Tyler was one of my very favorite students in German class. He spoke German very well and always added a thoughtful insight to class. I was so sad four years ago when I heard about his passing and I hope and pray that the family can find comfort in his memory. I am glad that I got to share 4 years in the classroom with him.

My condolences go out to the Halpennys. Tyler was a great friend to me from the time we met in 7th Grade all the way through our bands and 5 levels of German in High School to our time working together at Weis. We had drifted apart over the past few years, but anytime I saw him, it was like we had just seen each other the day before. He will be sorely missed by all that he has touched. Love ya, man. We'll all miss you.

My deepest condolences to the entire Halpenny family. Stay strong and God bless you. Tyler will be sorely missed. Words alone cannot express the impact he had on me. He was the great liberator, the voice of reason, and most of all my friend. I'll miss you bud, love ya.

No words can ever put to justice the love and memories we have with our loved ones and the pain we feel when they are gone. I want to send my love and condolences to the family and friends (that were closer to Tyler than I was). I only knew Tyler by a handful of encounters and I feel sad to hear this news, but of course he will live on in all our memories of his kindness, his laugh...

SENDING MY LOVE TO YOU ALL! <3

My heart breaks for your family. Tyler was in my German classes for four years at South Western and was one of the very best German speakers that I ever had the chance to work with. I really loved having him in class and talking to him. He will be truly missed by all. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

It literally seems like yesterday that we were jamming around in our first band. I can remember us sitting in the basement or your garage just learning songs from the bands that we loved. Even though its been nearly 14 years since that time has come and gone, I often still find myself reflecting on those times, coughing out a few laughs that were brought on by ourselves, or other people that knew us. The innocence we all had in that period in time, to this day I still find myself thinking about it. And I still find it endearing, and as the beat of time goes on, nothing will make me forget those precious couple of years. To know you Tyler, was to love you. I know I am a better person for having you on my life. You could walk into any room, with your sharp wit and outrageous sense of humor, make everyone laugh so hard it would bring them to tears. I can convey many stories, and share many laughs in this small window, however I don't think they all would fit. I and many MANY other people are already feeling the void left by your passing and yet it is still unreal to me at the same time. You were taken way to soon, but the lives you touched, and the love you had for your friends and family are limitless and can fill several lifetimes. I remember the last thing you said to me. " later, love you man". I love you too my friend. Rest in peace.
