Arthur Daniel Towery

1931 - 2014

Arthur Daniel Towery was born to Ruby and Arthur Towery at Independence Kansas, on June 15, 1931. He attended school in Independence Kansas. He enlisted into the U.S. Army in January of 1949 through September of 1952, at which time he received an honorable discharge from service. He met the love of his life Ada Elizabeth McGee in Independence ,Kansas. They were married in June of 1954. Dan worked as a policeman for the city of Independence Kansas & Coca Cola Company until he enlisted into the United States Navy on January the 16th,1959 discharged January 15, 1963.
To this marriage two sons were born Phillip Daniel & Thomas Arthur.
Dan worked at several vocations after coming back to this area. He was employed at Phillips 66 research Center, Tom Sass's 66 station, Central State Printing Company. Dan was employed & retired from TRW Reda Pump and the Oklahoma State Highway Dept. He attended the Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church for a number of years.
Dan is survived by his wife Ada (Liz) Elizabeth Towery, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Son Phillip & Gena Towery of Fort Worth, Texas, Son Thomas and Marie Towery of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Brother, William D & Roberta Towery of Neosho, Missouri, and Brother, K O & Peggy Towery of Oregon, grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Memorial Services were held at 3:00 P.M. on Monday August 25, 2014 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Tuney Ropp of the Hillside Baptist Church at Meeker, OK, and Herb Ropp officiating. Cremation Arrangements were under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
