Clyde Ellis Stills, 67, of Bartlesville, OK formerly of Coffeyville passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Forest Manor Nursing Center in Dewey, OK.
He was born on September 1, 1950, in Coffeyville to Clyde "Bud" and Louise (McCormick) Stills. Clyde grew up and attended school in Coffeyville graduating from Field Kindley High School, and attended Coffeyville Community College.

Clyde attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church where he was baptized.
An avid fanatic of classic cars and car racing, Clyde would attend local stock car/dirt races and car shows as often as possible. Known as a walking encyclopedia when it came to identification of old cars. Clyde spent many hours enjoying the roar of the motor vehicle!
When not spending his time as a gearhead, Clyde loved listening to classic rock favorites like the Beatles and the Rolling Stones amongst many others. His other great passion in life was playing pool while reminiscing on old times and teaching life lessons.

I met Clyde because he and my Dad are friends. We had several things in common, our love of dogs, The Beatles, old cars, and my Dad.

Several years ago, I wanted to give my Dad a birthday party, and Clyde insisted that we do it at his house. I will forever be grateful for that, it was a day full of friends and good memories.

Me and a mutual friend, Walter Lewis, came from Tulsa to see Clyde a few times. They were long-time friends and had a lot of memories together. We never lacked for conversation, the topic was usually cars. He was always happy to see us, and told us so.

When Clyde found out my birth date, he called me every year to say happy birthday. That meant a lot to me.

I know that Clyde's friends meant a lot to him, and I am glad to be one of them.

We were so sorry to hear of Clyde's passing. Our hearts go out to his Mom and his 3 girls. He was so proud of each one of you. We did the car shows and saw Clyde a lot back when our kids were young. So sorry for your loss. We will all miss him.
