Emma Harrington Obituary

Emma "Dean" Jester Harrington, 75, Bartlesville, OK was laid to rest on September 19, 2011 after a sudden illness at home. A Celebration of Life service will be held 4:00 P.M. Friday in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mark Wright officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Dean was born November 28, 1935 in McCaskill, Arkansas to Clarence Granville and Vera Mae (Long) Jester. She was raised in Camden, AR and married Lawrence "Harry" Harrington in 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Her passions include music, gardening, reading and traveling the world. She lived in many places including Tehran, Iran, Kuwait City, Kuwait; Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; Oahu, Hawaii; and all four corners of the United States eventually landing right in the middle of Bartlesville, OK for the past 20 years. She was especially fond of traveling to Cyprus and Belize where she first met Harry and where they honeymooned.
Dean is survived by her husband Harry of the home, her siblings Charles Jester of Littlerock, AR, Dwight Jester of Deer Park, TX, Lenda James of Pawhuska, OK and Terry Jester of Pawhuska, OK. Her children David Beck of Herndon, VA, Russ Bechtelheimer of Eldorado, AR, John Bechtelheimer of Dewey, OK and Lisa Foster of Tulsa, OK, her grandchildren, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ivan Jester and sister Shelby Banks.
In honor of Dean, the family has requested memorials be sent to The American Cancer Society, Attn. Kathy Leeper P.O. Box 1094 Bartlesville, OK 74005.
