Evelyn Craighead Obituary
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2009 at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Darryl Wootton and Rev. Bill Brummett officiating. Final committal rites will be accorded in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.
The family will be receiving friends from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home.
Evelyn was born November 10, 1930 in Bartlesville, OK to James and Lena (Askew) Estes. She graduated from Bartlesville High School and spend over 20 years of her working career as a Bank Teller. On June 5, 1949 she married Eugene Craighead in Bartlesville. Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her family and was very dedicated to her church, Bartlesville First Assembly of God.
Evelyn is survived by her husband Eugene, son Alan Craighead and wife Trish of Cumming, GA, two daughters, Elaine Arnold and husband Chuck of Mustang, OK, Connie Standridge and husband Randy of Bartlesville. One sister, Geneva Reese and husband Phil of Bartlesville, sister-in-law Rosetta Estes of Bartlesville, nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren along with numerous nephews, nieces and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lena Estes and her brother, Bill Estes.
Casket bearers will be A.J. Craighead, Igor Vysotsky, Brett Arnold, Vince Boone, Sean McAfee and Chad Arnold.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at First Assembly of God in Bartlesville.

Evelyn will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She always had a smile on her face. Her Love of God was so evident in all she said and did. Brother Craighead our prayers are with you and your family during this time. Your heart is sad but Evelyn is sitting at the feet of Jesus and singing his praises. You are held in God's arms.

Evelyn will be missed very much. We are truly blessed each and everyday to have had both Evelyn and Eugene as our friends and neighbors. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Craighead family.

I am so grateful that God put us in the same family with Aunt Evelyn. What an inspiration and blessing to all who knew her! She was a faithful servant and will be greatly missed. We look forward to that Resurrection morning when we'll all be united around His throne! Our prayer is that God will comfort our dear family members that still have to finish the race until that glorious Homecoming day.
