Mr. Jerry W. Attaway, 70, of Bartlesville, passed away on Sunday, April 26th at his home after a long illness.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Attaway will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ethel Reece Cemetery at Barnsdall with Rev. Emery Mason of the East Cross United Methodist Church officiating. Funeral services and interment will be under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Memorial funds have been established and memorial donations may be made to the Mutual Girls Club, 321 S.W. Penn, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74003, East Cross United Methodist Church, 820 S.E. Madison Blvd., Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74006 or to Cornerstone Hospice, 3414 S.E. Kentucky, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74006.
Jerry was born on June 5, 1938 in Barnsdall to Grady and Lucy (Long) Attaway. He married Sharron (Creel) Attaway on December 2, 1964 in Bartlesville. He retired from Phillips Petroleum Company in 1998 after 39 years of service. He was a member of the East Cross United Methodist Church.
Mr. Attaway is survived by his wife, Sharron of the home, two daughters: Denise Murray and husband Markus of Roanoke, TX., and Dixie Malaby and husband Wes of Bartlesville, Ok., sister Joy Moody and husband Bob of Barnsdall, OK., three grandchildren, Taryn Powell, Kassandra Murray and Jaxon Malaby, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucy Attaway on November 26, 1993 and his father Grady Attaway on October 17, 2005.
