Jimmie Whitson Obituary

Mr. Jimmie Lee Whitson, 78, of Bartlesville, died at 11:54 P.M. on Friday, March 27, 2015 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.
Memorial services will be held at 10 A.M. on Thursday, April 2, 2015 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel. Interment of the urn will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery where full military rites will be accorded by the Ceremonial Detail of the James H. Teel American Legion Post # 105. Memorial services and cremation are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mr. Whitson was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on June 13, 1936 the son of Doyle and Letha Mae (Zoski) Whitson. He grew up and received his education in Bartlesville where he graduated from College High School. He served with the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict and following his Honorable Discharge he returned to Bartlesville to make his home. He was employed by the Bureau of Mines in Bartlesville for a number of years until that facility was closed. He was then employed with Hillcrest Country Club, the City of Bartlesville and then the City of Dewey. He was married to Linda Jean Blair on March 21, 1971 in Bartlesville and they made their home in Bartlesville.
Mr. Whitson is survived by two sons, Rick Johnson of Rhode Island and Dr. Kenne Whitson and his wife Regina of Garden City, Kansas, one daughter, Patricia "Patti" Konen and husband Jonathan of Bartlesville, two brothers, Danny Whitson of Bartlesville and Robert Whitson of Bernice, Okla., two sisters, Mary Mitchell and Lucy Bayle both of Bartlesville, seven grandchildren, Kandice Johnson, Kaitlynn Elzea, Matthew Konen, Michael Konen, Hannah Whitson, Chase Whitson and Rebekah Whitson and two great grandchildren, Conner Wade and Ophelia Elzea and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Rita and Wilda, a daughter, Blynda Whitson on October 5, 1980 and by his wife, Linda Jean Whitson on November 17, 2013.

I will always remember Jimmie as the sweet and kind man he was. He looked so much like grandpa Zoski who was also sweet and kind. God bless all of you. You are in our prayers.

Love u guys uncle jimmy rest in peace say hi to everyone enjoy the view I can't imagine how pretty it is there to Kenny and Patti and all the family love guys always will awesome parents we had I sure enjoyed my time with them we might thank this is good by its not it see u later keep ur faith lol
