Rebecca Gail "Becky" Richardson, 58, of Bartlesville, died at 9:50 P.M. on Sunday, June 28, 2015
Memorial services will be held at 3 P.M. on Wednesday in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial services and cremation are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
A memorial fund has been established and those who wish may send their contributions to the Washington County SPCA, 16620 State Highway 123, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74006.
Becky was born in Bartlesville on April 12, 1957 the daughter of Ross Edgar and Helen Elizabeth Sheets. She grew up and received her education in Dewey, graduating from Dewey High School in 1975. She was employed at Gunter Drug Store until her employment with the Bartlesville Police Department as an animal control officer. She later transferred into the records division as a records clerk and then became the police department's liaison with the District Attorney's office until her retirement in 2009. She was married to Michael Glenn Richardson on November 5, 1980 in Pawhuska. They made their home in Bartlesville and then Ramona and Nowata until returning to Bartlesville to make their home. She was an avid animal lover and had served on the board of the Washington County SPCA. She was also a Garth Brooks fan.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Richardson of Bartlesville, one daughter, Shana Pettigrew and husband Klint of Yukon, Okla., one son, Michael Glenn Richardson Jr. of Bartlesville, two sisters, Debbie Lacey and Beth Gray both of Bartlesville, three grandchildren, Kyler Pettigrew, Kit Pettigrew and Emily Richardson. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Sheets.
