Stella Proctor Obituary

Stella Proctor was born December 6, 1925 and ascended to Heaven to join our Lord and Savior September 14, 2016.
She and her husband, Charles "Pat" Proctor, celebrated 64 years of marriage on August 5. Stella was 25 years old when she met Pat, and she loved to tell people she knew right away that he was the one she wanted to marry.
She was a master cook in the kitchen, which her husband loved to take credit for. As she grew older, her family got to experience what we called "Stella Surprise". She'd find a new recipe and surprise us with her variation. Every night was a new experience, but we wouldn't have changed a thing.
This was a woman of pure character. She was strong and beautiful and never told a lie. She was the type of woman who could sustain serious injury without making a peep, but if her football team was losing, you could hear her screaming for miles. She loved sports and enjoyed traveling with her husband in their motorhome. They explored a vast area of the Southern U.S. and Northern Mexico.
Stella loved to entertain and to be entertained. Oh, how she loved to dance! She looked forward to waltzing with her husband on Friday nights. The way they would glide across the floor was a perfect example of how they fit together, beautifully.
She is survived by three sisters, Lucille Thibodeaux, Patricia Pitre, and Lois Wilson all of Texas. Her sister Thelma Parker preceded her in death. She is also survived by her husband Charles Proctor, a daughter Cathy Lamb and two grandchildren, Tiffany Lamb, and Christopher Grim, all of the Bartlesville area. Plus, numerous extended family.
Above all, Stella was a vivacious, amazing person. She was beloved by all who met her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and so much more. She will be greatly missed. We will cherish her memory and keep her in our hearts as the smart, caring, and beautiful woman that she was both inside and out. We love you now and forever.
Cremation services are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. Friends who wish, may sign the online guestbook and leave condolences at www.stumpff.org
