Susie Galbreath Obituary

Susie M. Galbreath, age 93 and resident of Ramona, Oklahoma, passed away on March 21, 2015 in The Journey Home, Bartlesville.
Susie was born April 17, 1921 in Ochelata, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of John Benjamin McIntosh and Kay-haw-ka (Daniels) McIntosh. She was a lifelong resident of the area, living her married life in Talala, Oklahoma. She had lived in Ramona since 1977.
In 1946, Susie married Joe Galbreath in Sedan, Kansas. He preceded her in death in May of 1966. Susie was employed at the Claremore Indian Hospital as a medical clerk and Cherokee interpreter.
She had many interests, some of which were reading, working word-search puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She also loved to garden in her younger days.
She is survived by two children, Joe Robert Galbreath and wife, Mary, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Susan Galbreath of Ramona; grandsons, Robbie Melton and wife Shonda, Lance Galbreath, Cody Galbreath, Huling Agnew, Aaron Coyner, Leo Lansford and wife Jenny, and Obie Lansford; great grandsons, Chance J. Anderson, Caleb Andrew Wilson, and Brayden Lee George Galbreath; great-great grandsons, Jace Rosenheim, Kyler Logan Smith, and Landon Shane Tidwell; granddaughters, Sarah Galbreath, Laura Galbreath, and Helen Agnew; great-granddaughters, Kelsey Rosenheim and husband Michael, Taylor Galbreath, Hailey Galbreath, and Victoria Galbreath; great-great granddaughter, Kenzie Bella Smith; daughter-in-law, Kathy Lansford and husband Gary; granddaughter-in-law, Penney Anderson and husband John; and by her grand-dogs, Abby and Nina. Survivors also include numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Susie was preceded in death by her parents, John Benjamin McIntosh and Kay-haw-ka (Daniels) McIntosh; her husband, Joe Galbreath; son, John Charles Galbreath, son, George Duncan Galbreath; daughter-in-law, Vicky Galbreath; and siblings, Huling K. McIntosh and wife Opal, Preston McIntosh and wife Frances, Rex (Clyde Duncan) McIntosh, Agnes Cargill, Nancy Cummings and husband Cecil, Ruby Meadows, Jean Napier and husband Don, and Bertha McIntosh.
Family will gather to greet friends on Wednesday, March 25, from 6-8:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, 710 S. Dewey Ave.
Interment of the cremains will be held on Saturday, March 28, at 2:00 PM, in the Talala Fairview Cemetery, Talala, Oklahoma.
Cremation arrangements for Mrs. Galbreath were entrusted to the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
