Bessie Weber Obituary


Bessie Pearl Weber, 101, slipped away from us at her home on Monday, January 25, 2021 from COVID-19 related illnesses.

Bessie was born in Centerview, MO January 9, 1920. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Independence. Bessie was a CNA at St. Mary's Hospital of Kansas City, MO until her retirement in 1986. Bessie was a resident of Heritage House apartments in Independence for 33 years, where she had many friends.

Bessie is preceded in death by her parents Charles & Lou Emma Hammond, her husband Jack, daughter Jacqueline and nine brothers and sisters.

She leaves behind two granddaughters, Lisa Johnson of Raytown, MO and Becky Kelsey of Blue Springs, MO. She has five great-grandchildren, LaShonda, Antonia and Anthony Johnson, Kristen and Brennen Kelsey.

Nighty Gran. Rest easy. We love you. Graveside services will be 12 p.m., Monday, February 1, 2021 at Green Lawn Cemetery, 8251 Hillcrest Rd.
