Don was a wonderful Scouter at H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation, working with Scouts on Citizenship merit badges and with adult leaders in the Micosay honor camping program. It was a privilege to know him. Condolences to his family. May he rest in eternal peace.

Don was a good person. He helped me in the MO Legislature after he was termed out and hired as the legal person for the House of Representatives. We were in different political parties, but from the same area, and he appreciated that. He also was of great help to me after my husband´s death my representing me as my attorney. I am forever grateful. My heart goes out to his family, who he loved much.

Don and I were elected to the Missouri House the same year. We were of opposite political parties but that never stopped Don from reaching across the aisle and working with me to improve legislation to help both of our constituents. There were times we fought against each other but he always had the people's best interests at heart and he never made the fight personal it was always about the legislation. I have such amazing respect for Don as a person, as a lawyer, and as a public servant. We would all be better off if we had more servants like Don in public office. I will miss you my friend. RIP.

Don, see you later. Don and his brother Ray, went to elementary and high school with me. All three of us were also in the same Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scout Troop together. Years later, Don and I reconnected through Boy Scouts as leaders. He will be missed.

Don was a great and steadfast friend, full of fantastic spirit and personality. Beginning with our years at UMKC and for long afterward, his encouragement and support brought strength to me, as I know it did to many others. We've lost a unique and valued man.

To Don's family my deep condolences. Don was someone i always looked up to: as a teenager for his rebel spirit, as an adult for his great accomplishments. Don was a good friend, a lifelong friend. I miss him.

Don and I served in the Missouri House of Representatives with our districts covering all of Blue Springs. He also served as a Blue Springs Municipal Judge after being term limited in the House of Representatives. I had the opportunity to name him Presiding Judge as Mayor. Don was very talented and could do just about anything. His love for his wife and sons was very obvious! RIP my fellow colleague and friend.

I'm heartbroken that we've lost Don, a person I've known since childhood. A generous, kind, funny, smart and family-loving man who made me proud to call him friend. To his devoted family, I've been praying since learning if his hospitalization and am continuing to do so. May the love and peace of Christ sustain you.
