ELEANOR JACOBS

ELEANOR JACOBS 02/10/1930 - 07/06/2025 Eleanor Mae Jacobs, of Lincoln, Mo., passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation at the age of 95. She was born on February 10, 1930, to Delmer and Goldie Hazelrigg. Eleanor was raised in Independence, Mo., where she graduated from William Chrisman High School. It was in Independence where she met and married the love of her life, Charles Jacobs. Together, they raised their three children -- Kevin, Janet, and Mollie -- and built a warm and loving home. In 1976, the family moved to Lincoln where Eleanor continued to dedicate her life to her family. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Eleanor was known for her gentle spirit and unwavering faith. She lovingly taught her children about God and instilled in them a deep appreciation for nature. An avid gardener, she found joy among her flowers, and she expressed her creativity through crochet and sewing. A lifelong learner, Eleanor had a passion for reading and discovering new things. Her legacy of love, kindness, and family devotion will continue to inspire all who knew her. Eleanor was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles; her parents; two brothers; one sister; and her grandson, Dakota. She is survived by her children: Kevin Jacobs and his wife April of Lincoln; Janet Perry and her husband Sam of Warsaw, Mo.; and Molly Simmons and her husband Mark of Lincoln. She is also survived by nine grandchildren -- Susyn, Matthew, Greg, Dalton, Destiny, Amanda, Randall, Ivy and Brandon -- as well as many great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends. Her memory will be cherished and her presence deeply missed. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln. A visitation will be held an hour prior, from 1 to 2 p.m. Interment will follow the funeral at Sunnyside Cemetery near Lincoln.
