IMOGENE MADEWELL 07/31/1937 - 07/01/2025 All services for Imogene Madewell will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs. Visitation will be held from 10 - 11 a.m. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Blue Springs Cemetery in Blue Springs. Imogene Madewell, 87, a resident of Blue Springs, passed away peacefully July 1, 2025, at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Mo. She was born July 31, 1937, to Dave and Addie (Martin) Smith in Mt. Judea, Ark. Imogene was a 1955 graduate of Mt. Judea High School in Mt. Judea. On September 24, 1958, Imogene was united in marriage to Charles F. Madewell in Mt. Judea. Imogene spent the majority of her career at Harmon Electronics Inc., where she had a passion for her work, made lifelong friendships, and would get together with, long after her retirement. She was a member of Blue Springs Assembly in Blue Springs. Imogene enjoyed traveling to Arkansas to visit family, going to Vesper Hall to see friends, playing bingo, playing cards, going to lunch with family or friends and antiquing. Above all, Imogene treasured spending time with her beloved family. Imogene is survived by her grandsons, Franklin Alexander "Alex" Madewell and his wife Montana of Lee's Summit, Mo., Joshua Wade Madewell of Columbia, Mo.; great-grandchild, Brooklyn Madewell, Harper Madewell, Hazel Madewell; brothers, Luell Smith of Deer, Ark., Robert Smith and his wife Connie of Mt. Judea; sisters-in-law, Rilda Smith of Western Grove, Ark., Ellen Smith of Deer. Imogene was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Madewell Sr.; son, Charles F. "Frank" Madewell Jr.; parents, Dave and Addie Smith; siblings, Elmer Smith and his wife Arvilla, Zelmer Smith, Darrell Smith, Buster Smith and his wife Donna Sue, Lunie Smith; sister-in-law, Linda Smith.
