Just heard the sad news. I only knew him as a neighbor across the back fence where he planted Cannas and gave me some bulbs. I remember his "Blessings to you" when parting. I look forward to seeing him again one day.

Some of my happiest childhood memories include Ted and Ruth! I was honored to be a junior bridesmaid in their wedding. I was absolutely thrilled to ride in his MG (while watching him stand up, steer with knees and wave to everyone!) He was my first crush until I met his brother Preston! Ted was always larger than life. My heart breaks for Ruth and his family. I can't help but think that God has bigger plans for him. I'll mourn his loss, but I'm grateful for an angel as incredible as he is to watch over me.

My name is mickey York and pastor ted was my youth pastor and a very huge influence in my young adult years. I would play tennis with him on Saturday mornings, such a blast. I still tell this Story to this day. He came and picked me up at my parents house one Saturday evening with a picnic lunch and some sodas and said we were going to listen to a guy play some music at tower park, and let's hope he'll be good. Well anyway set a blanket down, and our picnic, drank our soda and listenedto cChuck mangione play the horn. He was brand new to the scene, but ever time I hear his songs, I think of pastor ted. I am sure he was a great father, husband, because he was a awesome mentor and friend. Condonlences to the family. Mickey York

My condolences to the family. My memories of Paster Ted are ones I'll forever hold dear. He was my Pastor at Calvary Lutheren during my school years. He was so down to earth and we as kids all adored and loved him. He made a huge impact in my life back then.
