BEAVERCREEK — Michael David West, age 64, went home to be with the Lord on September 9, 2018. Mike (Sluggo) was a very outgoing and funny guy who deeply loved his family and friends. He was a veteran who proudly served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard. Mike was a great husband, dad, papaw, brother, and friend who left us with a lot of great memories and stories. He will be truly missed. Mike was born on June 30, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Jason Carl West and Aileen West. Mike is survived by his wife Diane (Harrison), daughter Sherri West, grandson Joshua West, very best friends Joe and Shirley Kunk, sister Cindy Baxter (Willie), brother Troy Hicks (Debra), sister Beverly Caldwell (Gary), brother Kenneth Harrison (Charlotte), and many nieces and nephews, as well as numerous friends. Funeral Service will be held on September 17, 2018 at 11:00 am at Newcomer - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Family will receive friends from 9:00 am until time of service. Committal Service will be held at 1:00 pm at the Dayton National Cemetery (4400 W Third St, Dayton, OH 45428).
