Barbara Lynn Ahern
Barbara Lynn Ahern died suddenly on November 13, 2023. Born in Charlottesville, VA, she was the daughter of the late John Alan Sabanosh and Dorothea "Cissy" Clark. She was a graduate of Joel Barlow High School and Fairfield University. She was the loving wife of Michael Ahern. Barbara and Mike lived in Woodbury, CT.
Barbara was a devoted wife and daughter, a supportive and loving sister, and a dedicated and incredible professional at Santa Energy, where she worked for over 20 years. She was the consummate caretaker, always offering her kind support and loving friendship. Barbara loved horses and was an accomplished equestrian. She also loved dogs, especially her "rotties" and cared for her pal, "Godfrey," a cockatiel she rescued from her brother, Jay. She and her husband, Mike, loved to spend vacations in Arizona, soaking up the heat and enjoying the desert.
She is survived by her mother, Cissy Clark of Boulder, CO; sister, Whitney Simon of Larchmont, NY, and husband Chris; brother, Douglas Sabanosh of Boulder, CO; nephews, Christopher, Connor, and Lochlan Sabanosh; nieces, Bridgette and Lily Sabanosh. She was predeceased by her brother, Jay Sabanosh; and father, John Sabanosh.
