Roger Houle Obituary
Roger E. Houle was born on August 20, 1944 in Hartford, CT and passed away on September 6, 2012 in Venice, Florida. He moved to Fairfield, CT where he attended Tomlison Jr. H.S. and graduated from Roger Ludlowe H.S. in 1962. Roger was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served from 1965-1969 and then joined the Fairfield Police Dept where he worked until his retirement in 1995 and then moved to Southwest Florida and he has been a resident of Venice since 1998. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Helen (Krosky) Houle and a brother, Frederick Houle. Roger is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lenora Houle; two step-daughters, Lori Gosselin and her husband Kenneth of Glastonbury, CT and their two sons, Christopher Gosselin and Thomas Gosselin and Kathleen Epperson of Fairfield, CT and her daughter, Samantha Jane Epperson. A private family service will be planned in Connecticut at a later date. Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Florida is handling the arrangements.

Lenny,
Roger was a character. We fought more than we talked! I was so excited to tell him that I finally made it to Ricky T's and The Pearl. I will miss our talks and he will miss his dark chocolate.

Roger enjoyed being a Fairfield Policeman, I think he really enjoyed the summers the best being part of the Marine Patrol and working out of the South Benson Marina. He had a career many wished they had enjoyed. I remember reading about his doing work as a captain of his own boat in Florida. He was a great guy.

Dear Lenore and Family:
We Yaffies were all very upset to learn of Roger's death. It has been many years now since we last saw him, however, our daughters, Jessica and Alison, and Sheila and I were extremely fond of him and always enjoyed the time we spent with him on our many trips to and from the airport with him. We know how happy he was during his retirement years in Florida and in the life you shared together. We are sure that, in time, you will find comfort in the many happy memories you have of the life you shared.
