Bill Locklear
LUMBERTON - Bill Locklear, 90, of 1591 Deep Branch Road, was born March 20, 1923, to the late Mr. Jimmy Locklear and Mrs. Betsy Bullard Clark, and departed this life day on Dec. 22, 2013, at his home.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday at Prospect United Methodist Church in Maxton, the Revs. Dr. Kenneth Locklear and Carolyn Cummings Worriax officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Exan Locklear.
Mr. Locklear leaves to cherish his memories six daughters, Lisa Locklear Hunt (Greg), Amy Locklear (Kenny), Wanda Hunt (Benford), Rose Locklear (Johnny), all of Lumberton, Betsy Cummings (Raymond) of Pembroke, and Billy Jean Davis (Donald) of Fayetteville; six sons, Bill Locklear Jr. (Michelle) and John Kenneth Locklear, both of Lumberton, Jerry Locklear, Wayne Locklear (Betty) of Fayetteville, Spencer Wayne Locklear and Jimmy Patrick Locklear, both of Maxton; 28 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Thompson's Funeral Home in Pembroke.
