Edward Kohman Obituary

Faribault - On Friday, June 14 - our parents' 66th wedding anniversary - we will gather to remember and celebrate their lives.

Our dad passed away at the age of 84 on December 28, 2021 - COVID took him from us. Our mom struggled with declining health for the past few years but on January 14, 2024, she joined him - she was 83.

They were both born in Waconia, Minnesota. Our dad grew up in St. Bonifacius and was the son of William and Olivia Kohman. Mom grew up on a dairy farm near Waconia and was the daughter of Thomas and Rosella Rademacher.

They spent 63 years together - they were each other's rocks and companions. They raised their family in Montevideo and spent the last 30 years of life in Faribault.

They are survived by their sons David (spouse Ed) and Paul (spouse Debby) and were preceded in death by their son Donald. They also leave behind 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Dad is also survived by his sister Mary and his brother Tom - mom by her sister Arlene and brothers John, Marvin, and Ron as well as a brother and sisters-in-law.

Their memorial service will be held on Friday, June 14 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Shieldsville, Minnesota. Family visitation will start at 10 AM followed by a service at 11 AM and burial in the church cemetery. Lunch will be served afterward. Please join us to celebrate their lives and to remember the indelible mark they have left on so many of us.
