James Swanson Obituary
Funeral services will be held at Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on October 4, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Leif Crooks officiating. Interment will be at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on October 4th.
James Allen, the son of Clarence and Cleta (Cowan) Swanson, was born October 5, 1942, in Faribault. He married Barbara Kitzman on August 26, 1959. Jim was previously employed with the railroad and Sheldahl, but retired after 44 years with Mercury Minnesota. He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and family vacations.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; four children, Nick (Jeanine) Swanson of Eagan, Cheryl (Steve) Dubbels of Eagan, Randy Swanson of Brighton, CO and Greg (Jessica) Swanson of Cannon Falls; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren and one on the way; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Wesley James and brothers, Bill and Clarence.
