Janet Peters Obituary
Janet Ann, the daughter of Lawrence and Mildred (Stotzel) Gretz was born on September 8, 1952 in California. She attended Faribault High School and graduated with the class of 1970. On October 15, 1971 she was united in marriage to Gordon Peters. Gordon preceded her in death on November 25, 1997. Janet worked in customer service at many businesses over the years as they lived in different communities including, Shakopee, Owatonna and Faribault, MN. She loved watching western shows and movies, cheering for the Minnesota Twins, crocheting and her cats.
She is survived by her children, Lawrence Peters (Stephanie) and Lisa Bechtold; by stepchildren, Michael (Merla) Peters and Betty (Richard) Anderson; by two grandchildren, Samantha Growe (Ryan Fischer) and children, Cassen Potthast, Lila Fischer, Diem Fischer and Rhett Fischer; and Joseph Growe; by many step grandchildren and great children; by her brother Greg (Fran) Gretz of St. Paul, MN and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, Mariah Peters and Sharon (Jake) Juaire, by three sons, Gary Gretz, Bruce Peters and Gordon Peters Jr., by her brother, Larry Gretz and by her son-in-law, Chuck Bechtold.
Private graveside services will be held at the Union Cemetery in Medford, MN and a Celebration of Life will follow at a later date.
Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault, MN.
