Margaret Semlow Obituary
Margaret earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and devoted many years to serving as a Registered Nurse. She found joy in exploring Michigan-whether walking, hiking, or taking long weekend trips up north. When time allowed, she loved to travel and was especially proud of her adventures in Alaska and whitewater rafting. Above all, Margaret was deeply proud of raising her three children on her own. While raising her eldest and welcoming her two youngest, she pursued and earned her nursing degree-a powerful reflection of her unwavering strength, determination, and deep love as a mother.
Memorial services will be held at 12pm on Friday, November 7, 2025, at O'Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Funeral Home, 3980 Cascade Road SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan, 49546, with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, 27777 Franklin Road #1150 Southfield, Michigan 48034.

Maggie was a tremendously smart nurse! I loved working side by side with her. She gave her very best to ensuring her patients had all the support and care they needed to care for themselves after discharge from the hospital. She will be greatly missed.

Maggie will be missed by so many, I'll miss our talks, her great advice, she was such a wonderful nurse and our residents were so fortunate to have her. I will remember Maggie with the fondest memories and never forget everything she has taught me. Rest in peace, my friend.

I had the privilege of being Maggie´s co-worker while at Spectrum Health in Care Management. Not many can pull off looking great in a long lab coat but Maggie could and she wore it well! She was a kind and wonderful person. Nancy Standler-Brown
