Faribault - Werner C. "Butch" Eul, Jr., age 86, of Faribault, died Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Allina Health Faribault.
Memorial services will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Faribault on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Kira Anderson, officiating. Memorial visitation will be at church for one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Military rites will be provided by Rice County Central Veterans. Arrangements are being completed by Boldt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Faribault.
Werner Carl, the son of Werner, Sr. and Ruth (Pofahl) Eul was born January 18, 1939 in Faribault. He graduated from Faribault High School and served in the US Army. Butch married Judith Krohn on June 17, 1972 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Faribault. Early on, he was formerly employed with Merrill's Tire, Faribault and worked 22 years for the City of Faribault, Water Department, retiring in January 2001. Butch enjoyed watching the Twins, yelling at the Vikings, old Westerns, Andy Griffith, game shows, old time country music and watching pro wrestling. Golfing with friends was important and he felt lucky to have had three holes in one. Butch hosted his yearly "Bed Pan" Golf Tournament and always wanted everyone to have a good time. Fishing was another sport he enjoyed. He loved fishing with family, taking the grandkids and was thrilled when his daughter-in-law and grandson caught their "Blue Hat" walleye. Family was always number one. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to the moon and back.
Survivors include his wife, Judi of Faribault; children, Gary (Kim) Eul of Faribault, Tammy Caron (Jak Kuhl) of Bemidji, Bill (Julie) Eul of Faribault; grandchildren, Nathan Eul (Rose Meier), Tyler Eul, Chase Caron (fiancée, Katja), Chelsea (TJ) Vangrinsven, Emma (Nick) McCollum, Ellie (Ryan) Jackson; great grandchildren, Hudson, Oliver, Tatum and Eloise Caron, Pierce and Greta Vangrinsven, Travis McCollum; sisters, Marlene Finger of Northfield and Shirley Johnson, Altoona; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gerald and Ken (Judy) Eul; brother-in-law, Dale Johnson, sister-in-law, Mary June Krohn; parents-in-law, Leslie and Elizabeth Krohn.
