Poppy Eul Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapels - Edina on Mar. 28, 2026.
Poppy June Eul, our beloved two-year-old daughter, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from acute necrotizing encephalopathy (ANE) triggered by adenovirus - an extraordinarily rare condition, with fewer than 15 cases ever reported worldwide.

There are no words suffi cient to describe the pain of losing this precious soul. Poppy was adored by everyone who met her. She loved swimming, bedtime stories, Minnie Mouse, and cookies - but most of all, she loved doing anything and everything alongside her big sisters. With her beautiful red hair, fearless spirit, kissable cheeks, and constant smile, Poppy brought joy wherever she went. Whenever Mom or Dad said "no," Hazel and Rose were quick to come to her defense, determined to ensure their little sister got whatever she desired.

Poppy was born on March 4, 2024, in Minnetonka, Minnesota, to her parents, Kris and Michelle Eul. As the little sister to Hazel and Rose, she was the perfect fi nal piece that completed their family. She delighted in playing with her cousins, neighborhood friends, and her beloved babysitter, Marit.

She is survived by her parents, Kris and Michelle Eul; her sisters, Hazel and Rose; her aunt and uncle, Brad and Chantel Zielke; her cousins, Hudson, Brekken, Clara, and Luther; her grandfather, Philip Omdahl; and her grandmother, Tina Eul. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Cindy Omdahl, who we trust welcomed her into heaven with open arms as they met for the fi rst time.

Though her time on earth was far too short, Poppy's legacy is one of boundless joy, fearless love, and a light that will never be extinguished. Our hearts are shattered, yet we cling to the steadfast hope of Jesus.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, April 3, at 1:00 p.m. at Christ Presbyterian Church (6901 Normandale Rd, Edina, MN 55435), with a reception immediately following.
