Barbara Jean Anderson, 84, of Winchester, VA, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center.

Barbara was born in 1940 in Washington D.C. the daughter of the late John and Evelyn Bradley. She was a graduate of Falls Church High School and worked as a secretary for the Department of the Navy at the Pentagon.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert Anderson whom she married on December 28, 1960, son, Bradley Oscar Anderson (Christine) of Lilburn, GA; grandchildren, Robert Oscar (Leila) Anderson of Birmingham, AL, Jacob Bradley Anderson of Lilburn, GA and nieces and nephews, Valerie Skaggs, Evelyn Rae Arduini, Raymond Arduini, Danny Kern and Kevin Kern.

In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her son, Darrell Stacy Anderson; sisters, Doris "Becky" McVay, Evelyn Catherine Arduini, Shirley Kern and her brother, Ivan Bradley.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 11am with a service to be conducted at 12pm at The Chapel at the Village at Orchard Ridge. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Officiating will be Chaplain Heather Bumstead.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Barbara to the Benevolent Fund at The Village at Orchard Ridge at 400 Clocktower Ridge Dr., Winchester, VA 22603, make checks attention to Mr. Zach Heeter.
