Charles Fincham Obituary
July 12, 1937 - August 2, 2025
Charles Ray Fincham passed away peacefully at his home on August 2, 2025.
He was born on July 12,1937 in Winchester, Virginia to the late George & Zanis Fincham.
Charles was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Frances Dyke Fincham and brother Wilford Fincham.
Charles served in the Army for 2 years and then spent the majority of his life working for Dominion Power, formally Virginia Power, and retired after 30 years of service.
During his retirement years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, splitting wood and being outdoors at his childhood home in Madison, Virginia. He enjoyed spending time with family and as the years passed his growing family brought many smiles to his face.
Charles is survived by his three children, Tamela Smedley of Warrenton, VA, Donna Rosamond (Todd) of New Baltimore, VA and Martha Moreland of Westmoreland, VA.
Charles is also survived by his grandchildren Nicole McCarroll (Ian), Crystal Somers, Alison Weaver (David), Joshua Somers (Cassie), Victoria Cook (Chris), Kevin Rosamond, John McIntosh (Kenzie), Jacob McIntosh (Gladis), Angel McIntosh, Amber Moreland and Miranda Moreland.
As well as 17 great grandchildren and 1 soon to be great, great grandchild.
Charles held his dear friend Bobby McCoy whom he enjoyed many years at the power company, talking about life and enjoying the outdoors and his dear childhood friend Ella Martz.
The family will receive friends at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Avenue, Warrenton, VA, 20186 from 5 to 7pm, on Sunday, August 10,2025. A Funeral will follow at Moser at 11:30 am on Monday, August 11, 2025.
Interment will follow at 1pm at Culpeper National Cemetery, 501 East Chandler St, Culpeper, VA, 22701, with military honors provided by VFW 2524.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations be made to Virginia Wildlife or Fauquier County Parks and Rec to help preserve the county's lakes and fishing holes.
