Wayne Williams Obituary

Wayne Thomas Williams

May 8, 1958 - September 23, 2025

Wayne Thomas Williams of Warrenton, VA, born in Arlington, VA on May 8th, 1958 died unexpectedly on September 23rd, 2025.

Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved parents Billy Mae Williams and Thomas Franklin Williams and sister Susan Lynn Williams.

Wayne's death leaves a huge hole in the heart of his best friend and wife, Sandra Lofdahl Williams, his adored children Kyle Williams (Ashley) and Amy Lukens (Jonathan), as well as his treasured grandchildren Bennett and Mary Lukens and Birdie

and Finn Williams. Wayne will also be missed by his sweet Goldendoodle Zimmer. Wayne attended James Madison High School in Vienna, VA and Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, WV and maintained friendships with his classmates and football teammates his entire life. He had careers as an IBW Local 26 electrician and as a safety engineer at Lockheed Martin. After retirement he enjoyed several years helping customers at Lowes with his great knowledge, handyman skills and outgoing nature. As a kind and incredibly social person, Wayne never met a stranger. He laughed easily and loudly and enjoyed sharing good stories.

An incredibly positive person, Wayne loved to travel and go on adventures with his wife Sandy, and other friends and family. He participated in creating so many excellent memories with his grandchildren at the beach, Disney world, children's theatre shows, dance recitals, baseball, football and soccer games.

Wayne loved to eat, whether at home or in his favorite restaurants and he loved to cook for everyone, encouraging them to try his favorite foods.

Wayne had an unexpected artistic side to him. He was an excellent painter, and his family has some creations to treasure. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and singing for family and friends.

Wayne attended Warrenton Baptist Church and Warrenton Methodist Church and built meaningful relationships with both congregations. Most importantly, he had a loving relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Wayne, an avid sports fan, loved golfing, lifting weights, kayaking and watching all the DC pro teams, local and UVA sports.

Wayne's viewing will be held at Moser Funeral Home on Friday, Oct. 3rd, 2025 from 6 -8 pm located at 233 Broadview Ave, Warrenton, VA. His funeral will be on Saturday, Oct. 4th, at 11 am at Warrenton Methodist Church at 341 Church St., Warrenton, VA.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Warrenton Methodist Church or Fauquier SPCA would be appreciated.
