William Marlow Obituary
December 20, 1966 - September 16, 2025
On September 16, 2025, at the age of 58, the lord called home, William "Billy" Marlow in Richlands, NC. Billy was born December 20, 1966, the son of the late William "Pee Wee" and Meta "Sissy" Holmes Marlow. He retired from VDOT in Gainesville, VA after the passing of his wife, Sharon Gillespse Marlow. Billy had a thrill for speed with his passion for Nascar racing and his newest hot rod chevy truck purchased from his uncle. He loved cheering on his favorite football team, Washington Commanders, and had a love for music, which he was so often was caught jamming to his favorite tunes.
Billy leaves behind his daughter, Stephanie "Sam" Marlow (James Harmon) of Stephens City, VA; two beautiful granddaughters, Mya and Haizley; a grandson, Kai; two sisters, Patsy Grim of Winchester, VA and Christina Kestner (Coe) of Inwood, WV; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family; his brother from another mother, Carl Smith (Cindy) of Front Royal, VA; and an array of friends whom he loved dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 PM on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Marshall Ruritan Club, 8400 Salem Ave., Marshall, VA 20115. The family asks that you wear your favorite Nascar or Commanders apparel.
