To the family I want to extend my deepest condolences. Cindy as I came to her is bubbly and always smiling. She loved to joke and I enjoyed conversations with her. My husband had asked her about getting crab cakes. Funny story we went in to eat at restaurant and she boasted loudly “ I got crabs!” So from then on when I would go restaurant or drive thru I would ask “Where’s crabs!” She would immediately know it was me. She was so so very kind to me when my mother passed. I will never forget her. I can visualize her now telling God something funny and laughing. She has a distinctive laugh when I hear it I know it’s her!

I loved Cindy. She was such a wonderful part of my childhood and teen years. She was my bestie. We grew up together. We rode to high school together, every morning with Peggy McKenzie. She told me I wasn't a good driver all the time and I'd say, well you can walk to school. She was right, I wasn't a good driver then. I turned 16 before any of my friends so, I drove us all around. She laughed and snorted when doing so. I would laugh til I couldn't stand it anymore, hurting in my side. I am so devastated. We went to our last school reunion together, she stayed overnight at my house. Even though I didn't see her often, I thought of her all the time, still do, always will, I loved her so much. I will cry for her loss for a long time to come. She made such a positive impact on my life.Cindy Welch, you were so special. My dad called you Olive Oil when you were in high school, so tall and skinny. We laughed over that the night we went to the reunion. I could write for ever. Thee will never be another like Cindy Welch Clark. RIP my dear friend, I love and miss you. Sylvia Pridgen Matteo

I have known Cindy all my life. My sister, Pam and I grew up with her younger brother Michael and sister Carla. I spent a lot of time at the Welch home when we were all growing up. Cindy always had the biggest smile and the most wonderful laugh. I will miss seeing her at the restaurant and will think of her often. I pray for peace for the entire family and I am so saddened by your loss.

My sincerest condolences to you and your family. May God bless you.
