David Fritzler Obituary

BELHAVEN - David Aaron "Fritz" Fritzler, 60, of 6354 N.C. 99 South, Belhaven, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, in his home after a courageous battle with cancer. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, in Sidney Free Will Baptist Church cemetery, conducted by Pastor David Pooser. David was born in Scottsbluff, Neb., Sept. 10, 1952, to Marilyn Aurilla Kath Fritzler Christensen and John Fritzler. He was a graduate of Scottsbluff High School and attended Scottsbluff Junior College, prior to joining the Navy on May 21, 1971. He was honorably discharged on May 27, 1975. Work was a true passion of his, and he dedicated 25 years of his life to PCS Phosphate of Aurora, and seven years to Sandhills Utilities Services, LLC of Fayetteville. David was also a member of Sidney Free Will Baptist Church. David loved his family with all of his heart and is survived by his loving wife and caregiver, Juanita Cutler Fritzler; a son, Brandon Hill Fritzler and his wife, Mary McCotter Fritzler, of Bayboro; a daughter, Katherine E. "Katie" Fritzler and her husband, D.R. Alligood Jr., of Washington; a brother, J. Marc Fritzler and his wife, Desyl Peterson, of Maple Plain, Minn.; two grandchildren, Maria Nicole Fritzler of Bayboro, and Samantha Renee Williams of Belhaven; several other extended family members, friends and the baby dogs Bacio and Mina. David was preceded in death by both of his parents, John and Marilyn; sister, Mary E. Fritzler Beezley; and his vibrant son, David "Aaron" Fritzler II. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Paul Funeral Home of Washington, and other times at the home of his wife, Juanita Cutler Fritzler, 6354 N.C. 99 South, Belhaven. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) online at httpwoundedwarriorproject.org.
