Frankie Patterson Obituary

FAYETTEVILLE - Frankie Patterson, 49, of Kimberwicke Drive, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mr. Patterson was the owner of Eastover Community Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, in Cape Fear Conference B Headquarters, 10225 Fayetteville Highway, Raeford. Burial will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens. Viewing was from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at Eastover Community Funeral Home in Eastover. Mr. Patterson is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughters, Frankie C., and Karen Leggett; sisters, Ruby Patterson and Percilla Patterson; and brothers, Lynwood Patterson, James Patterson and Jerry Patterson. Services entrusted to Elizabeth Street Mortuary of Spring Lake and Eastover Community Funeral Home of Eastover.

I was truly sadden to hear of the lost of your dear baby brother Frankie. I loved him from a little kid and all of you all too. May God strengthen each of you during you time of sadness. "May you rest in peace my friend Frankie." Frankie was one of the kindest, most sincere people I ever knew. When we were teenagers, Frankie drove my school bus (#68) my daddy (Mr. Hent Johnson) would let me ride to the skating rink with him when he wouldn't let me go anywhere with anyone else, and it was all because he knew Frankie was a good kid from a good family and from a great church.
