George Blankenship Obituary


Fayetteville — George Washington Blankenship, 71, of Fayetteville passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018.
He served in the USMC and was a Purple Heart recipient after being injured in Vietnam. George loved God, his family and playing golf. He was a master of all skills and he loved unconditionally.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Blankenship of the home; a daughter, Mandy Diane Trogdon and husband, Mark of Eastover; a son, George Warren Blankenship and wife, Donna of Stedman; a sister, Kay Simmons and husband, Horace of Ellaville, GA; a brother, Charles Ray Blankenship and wife, Jennie of Bryon, GA; three grandchildren, Brandon Blankenship, Kyle Blankenship and Tate Trodgon; and four great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home with the funeral service with military honors held at 3 p.m. in funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations be made to Wounded Warriors 4899 Belfort Rd. Ste. 300 Jacksonville, FL 32256 (877-832-6997)
