It took me till after my grandfathers funeral to come here and write something.... I will miss my grandfather so very much we had a special connection when i was younger but as I grew i up i grew distant from him because he lived as a Christian and i didn't want to disappoint him in some of my life choices. I would give anything right now to be watching nascar with him or sitting with him in church. Or even playing with him about how shiny his head was... that i didn't need a mirror because i could see my reflection in his forehead lol. But now all i have are the memories of how great he was how he smiled as he played with my daughter in the hospital i could see how much he loved her. How he was the first person to give me driving lessons, my summers in Nc with him when i was younger, him taking Sarah and me to water country and on the way home falling asleep and running into the ditch, white lake, and ice cream cones covered in hard chocolate, family reunions, going to work, with him, the list goes on and im thankful for every memory and every moment i had with him and hope that one day i will be everything he wanted me to be. I love you grandpa and will see you again one day
