Fayetteville—Lloyd Clifford Brisson Jr (Cliff) of Fayetteville, North Carolina, passed away at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, North Carolina, on 5/4/2021 at age 67.
Cliff was born in Fayetteville on July 9, 1953, to the late Lloyd and Doris Brisson. He was raised in Cumberland County and graduated from Terry Sanford High School in 1971. After graduation, he earned his bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his law degree from North Carolina Central University in 1978. Cliff passed the bar examination and was admitted into practice on November 8, 1978. Cliff was a devoted member of Manna Church, where he and his wife worshiped and enjoyed the fellowship of friends and acquaintances. Cliff was also a board member of the Grace College of Divinity. He loved the mountains and cherished his family, friends, and his two cats, Sweetie and Rufus. He was a beloved husband, uncle, lawyer, and friend, and will be greatly missed.
Lloyd Clifford Brisson Jr was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Clifford Brisson Sr, his mother Doris Clark Brisson, his brother Charles Clark Brisson, and his nephew Abel Scott Brisson.
Lloyd Clifford Brisson Jr is survived by his wife Toni Cessna of Fayetteville, NC, and his nephew's family, John, Tiffany, Amelia, and Holden Brisson of Hope Mills, North Carolina. He was joined in death by his wife, Toni Cessna on 5/10/21.
The family will receive friends of both Cliff Brisson and his wife, Toni, at a combined visitation on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Manna Church Cliffdale Site, 5117 Cliffdale Road, Fayetteville, NC. A combined funeral service for the couple will follow at Manna Church Cliffdale Site from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon with Wayne Tate, the Seniors Pastor of Manna Church, officiating. A burial service will be held following the funeral at Cross Creek Cemetery.
