Lydia Hennett Obituary

FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Lydia Stoner Hennett, 96, of Fayetteville and formerly of Enoree, S.C., passed away Monday, July 12, 2010, in her home. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 16, 2010, at 3 p.m. at Enoree Baptist Church in Enoree. Burial will follow in Lanford Baptist Church cemetery in Enoree. A visitation will be held in the president's home at Methodist University from 7 to 8:30 tonight, Wednesday, July 14, 2010, and Friday, July 16, 2010, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Enoree Baptist Church. Mrs. Hennett is survived by her daughter, Jerry Hendricks and husband Dr. M. Elton Hendricks of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Lynn Hendricks Carter and husband Mark of Shelby, Leslie Serrano-Torres and husband Luis of Fayetteville; and George Elton Hendricks and wife Kelly of Fayetteville; and four great-grandchildren, Kate Carter, Chris Carter, Trevor Hendricks and Tanner Hendricks. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to Mrs. Hennett's caregiver and friend, Joyce Teal. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Methodist University, 5400 Ramsey St., Fayetteville, N.C. 28311, or Enoree Baptist Church, 1150 Parker Road, Enoree, S.C. 29335.

Jerry, I am Lois and Jeff Banks' daughter, Carolyn. Miss Lizzie and Miss Lottie Bell would visit with mom and dad and they were such sweet people. I believe she would be the last one of the Bungalow Town residences. God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Carolyn Banks Cooper
