My big bro,

It's taken me a long time to write this. I remember you been a great big brother to Bunmi and I in Unilag. You always had words of advice and encouragement to give.

Rest well in the Lord my gentle bro.

Its taken me this long to come to terms that my beloved school son(In Odogbolu) is no more. Even as i share this i have tears in my eyes. Lekan(Lakeside) was a perfect gentleman from a very young age. Neat and articulate. I liked him the very first time i heard him speak and i knew he would be great. Rest in peace my junior brother in the bosom of our Lord. I miss you friend. Goodnite.

We do hop to have more time with Tamilore.

September 9, 2013

I lack words to express the warmth I enjoyed from Lekan as his friend and colleague. The last time he called me before his demise, he told me he was gonna call all his close former colleagues just to reignite the friendship. I was challenged. He did as he said and most of the ones I talked to confirmed it and said that was the last time they heard his voice ...as if he knew about his exit.

I still remember his excitement when we showed up at his wedding. He broke processional protocols just to come give us a hug. Was I touched!

We will forever miss this gem of a man!

R.I.P Lekan, It's all seem surreal because it was just like yesterday when we were all at your wedding in Nnewi.I was honored to beautify your breathakingly lovely, loving & God-fearing wife Chinedu at the traditional wedding. You had such a 'larger than life' personality & an unbelievable cheerful demeanour, constantly fawning over your wife, relatives and all guests present including myself. You treated me more like a sister than the make-up consultant I was back then. I was thrilled when I found out you were 'yoruba' & proud that you could steal the heart of an Nnewi 'Princess' I was even more surprised when you both offered to drop me off in Lagos even though I had been rewarded generously for my work. I'm certain you will be sorely missed by your affectionate wife, your son, family & numerous friends but I'm more convinced that God really does know best. You have made a mighty mark though hurriedly but nevertheless...unforgettable! Adefunmike(Phosh MAKEOVERS!)

I met Ola only once. We were on a flight together going to Fayetteville, NC. I was going to pick up my children and he was going to be with his lovely wife for the birth of their son. He was such an incredible person. I just knew it. He listened to me talk about my daughter the entire flight and how she prayed through her illness. We found that they had something in common, their birthday. We spoke on how she had gotten sick and the way she prayed. He just listened. He spoke of the coming of his son and how happy he was. He spoke about his wonderful, beautiful and loving wife. He helped me with the pronunciation of his son's Tami name. It was a great conversation. We continued to email each other up until I received an email from Chinny regarding his death. I had a very difficult time with it because he was so kind to me and I could feel he had a kindred spirit. I am so sorry. I know everyone else knew him a lot better than me, but I am still crying over it. I knew the Flight Attendant that flew us there and she became very emotional as well because she said she thought we had known each other a long time. For the family, I am here for you. Ola, rest in peace, but please look over your wife and son. She needs you.

Dear Lekan,
My brother and cherished friend. I remember how you used to come to meet me for business advice. I enjoyed our conversations thoroughly. Just when your business started paying off and Tami came along, the Almighty called for his child.
