Peggie S. Wiggins

FAYETTEVILLLE - Mrs. Peggie Smith Wiggins, 74, of Fayetteville passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010, in her home. Mrs. Wiggins is survived by her husband, Richard Wiggins of Fayetteville; two daughters, Debbie Wiggins Hargis and Jacqueline Wiggins Wilson; six grandchildren, Brennie S. Conkle, Cammie S. Peterson; Melissa L. Sharpe, Kathleen A. Sharpe, Jonathan M. Wilson and Sarah E. Wilson; and two great-grandchildren, Jackson T. Conkle and Austin M. Conkle. Mrs. Wiggins was a longtime volunteer with the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center Volunteer Auxiliary Services with more than 30,000 hours of service. She was also a past president of the volunteer auxiliary and was in charge of the flower shop for many years. Mrs. Wiggins was a member of Snyder Memorial Baptist Church and was actively involved in the Sunday school program there. She was a member and past president of the Fayetteville Garden Club. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight, Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service in Fayetteville. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010, in the chapel at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will immediately follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street.
