Thomas Salak Obituary

EDENTON - Retired Sgt. 1st Class Thomas Bennett Salak, 79, formerly of Fayetteville, died Sunday, July 28, 2013. He was a Army Special Forces Vietnam veteran. Services: Funeral, 2 p.m. Saturday in First Presbyterian Church of Edenton. Visitation, 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Survived by: Wife, Roberta; children, Thomas, Rosemary, Virginia, Girard, Linda and Lisa; stepchildren, Gray and Randy; several grandchildren. The Mulkey Funeral Home of Edenton.

Tom was a high school classmate. A wonderful friend and served as President of our 1952 class.

So sorry to hear about Tom. He was one of the best boss's and friends I ever had. I will always remember his Army stories. We always said we never heard any of them twice and they were always interesting. He always spoke of his family with love and pride.
