Diane S. Milley

Diane S. Milley, 69 years old and born in Salem, MA, peacefully passed away on October 23, 2025, in her home on Amelia Island after a long and heroic battle with lung cancer. Before moving to Amelia Island, Diane had a long career as a Special Education teacher in Haverhill, MA. When she relocated to Amelia Island, Diane became a substitute teacher at Fernandina Beach Middle School. Many students benefited from her kindness, patience, and compassion. Always physically active, she enjoyed horseback riding, hiking, kayaking, and especially playing pickleball on the city courts, where she had a wide circle of friends. Her life partner, Michael Tumblety, survives Diane; her former husband, David Milley, and their three children, Ryan Milley of Lawrence, MA, Sean Milley of Exeter, NH, and Brianna Milley of Jacksonville, FL; one granddaughter, Mia of Exeter, NH; her two sisters, Janice Clarkson of Amelia Island and Linda Odstrcil of Raymond, NH; and many treasured cousins and extended family. Diane will be forever missed and cherished by her family. Donations may be made to the American Lung Association. The family will honor Diane in a private ceremony surrounded by loved ones. Instead of attendance, friends are invited to share memories or condolences with the family.
