Karen O’Leary Obituary

On Aug. 18, 2024, Karen M. O'Leary was called home by God to be with her father, James Christopher O'Leary, her mother, Marie O'Leary Stokes, and all of her beloved dogs, Benji, Juno, Raven and Hero. She was born on Sept. 25, 1957.
Karen leaves behind her significant other, James Earle; her sister, Holly Kenny; her nieces, Breta and Sarah; her nephew, Tyler; and her Uncle Jimmy. Karen will be missed by all that knew her. Paramount in her life was her love for the environment and animals. While she lived the last couple of years in New Smyrna Beach, her heart was in Fernandina Beach, Fla. She loved the walking her dogs on the Omni Plantation, the beaches and swimming with them in the ocean.
Karen was born in New Jersey moved to Florida with her father, mother and sister, where she graduated from Winter Park High School and Florida Institute of Technology.
She has requested that there be no memorial service but that any donations in memory of her be made to the Nassau Humane Society of Fernandina Beach.
A lesson learned by Holly from Karen to share: "Be Bold and Outrageous."

Please accept my deepest condolences. Karen and I were friends in high school. We saw each other again at our 1st high school reunion but not again. I have thought of her often through the years and wondered what and how she was doing. I tried looking her up on social media but to no avail. I am deeply saddened to learn of her passing.
May God´s grace sustain you and may He grant you His peace during these difficult times.
