Lucinda Van Hyfte Obituary

DAYTON -- Lucinda Ann "Cindy" Van Hyfte, 63, of Dayton, died at 8:05 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at her residence.
Born Sept. 3, 1946 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Helen (Garriott) Cripe. She graduated from Attica High School in 1964.
On June 21, 1964, she married Charles "Chuck" Van Hyfte in Attica. He survives.
Mrs. Van Hyfte was a homemaker, and had worked more than 18 years at H&R Block as a receptionist.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, flower gardening, traveling on vacation and playing board games.
Surviving with her husband, are: a son, Brian (Denise) Van Hyfte of Williamsport; a daughter, Vicki (Douglas) Willis of Dayton; a brother, Max (Mary) Cripe of Williamsport; four grandchildren, Dusty and Brent Van Hyfte and Zachary and Jacob Willis; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Jim and Dale Van Hyfte of Pine Village and Mike and Tanya Van Hyfte of West Lafayette.
Visitation was prior to service on Saturday, June 19, at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway West, West Lafayette, IN 47906, with Pastor Jerry Miller officiating. Interment followed at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
Those wishing may contribute in memoriam to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 1415 Salem St., Suite 202-W, Lafayette, IN 47904.
